Den Hartog works to capture the intangible in her sculptures and make visual things typically not seen, such as wind and temperature. She is particularly inspired by history and mythology and likes to incorporate the mythological figures typically associated with nature. Though her work always changes with society, Den Hartog says she wants to create the things that cannot be seen or felt in the normal world.
